Stayed for 1 night and was impressed by this vintage hotel. We had a queen room with a view to city. There were central heating, television, and a fridge provided. The venue was placed 6 miles away from the airport.

Location: the hotel was just off the prudential center and public transport. Clean and cool units with especially the antiques, and the staff were good!

Loved the nice bed in my queen room. Central heating, a multi-channel TV and a writing table were provided. The setting was comfortable, short walk to public transport & NYC, and train station. It also was close to Newark airport.

The location is convenient and peaceful, 1 mile from an arts theater. 8 minutes drive to the airport, it is located due to the neighborhood. The staff are very friendly, managed the parking nearby. The room is a nice size and warm and with central heating, television and a fridge.

I had a great value for my money at Hotel Riviera. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly well-maintained for a historical building. The location was convenient, being just a short taxi ride away from Newark airport. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was to offer a wider variety of options on the menu.

Such great overall experience. The hotel was a great place for enjoying a good area, just off the airport, New York, Newark Penn Station. I had a queen room and it was cool. Extra touches like cable TV, a fridge and a writing desk were a treat, staff were accommodating.

Exceptionally comfortable bed, cool room. Favourable location just next door to public transport, bars and Newark Penn Station and the Spanish/Portuguese restaurant area and Downtown Newark. Also, close to Newark airport.

We stayed at Hotel Riviera for one night, as we needed a convenient location near the airport. Despite being in a less desirable neighborhood, we were pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean rooms with nice hardwood floors. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Plus, the price was a great value for the size and quality of the rooms.

The staff - some of them were horrible.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful architecture of the building with its stunning stone work and columns. The cleanliness of the hotel was also impressive, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. The TV had plenty of channels to choose from, which was a nice bonus. Despite some minor drawbacks, overall I would recommend this hotel.
